Charming Backyard Wedding Overlooking the American River

A private residence with a sweeping view of the American River in Carmichael, California, was the romantic setting for Sarah Elizabeth & Aurel's wedding.

With the river being the perfect backdrop for exchanging vows, we came up with a new take on the very popular floral arch – an "open arch" concept. Three tiered floral arrangements on either side of the altar framed an unobstructed view of the river in the center. The florals also provided a a soft backdrop for close-ups photos of the bride and groom.

Special thanks to Jennifer Lourie Photography for these gorgeous photos!

The bridals bouquet was designed with a variety of florals and greenery; a combination that provided color, texture and form, as well as scent: roses, eryngium, larkspur, Queen Anne’s lace, chocolate dahlia, pepperberries & pepperberry leaf, cascading phalenopsis orchid and ornamental pistachio.

The anticipation of the first look…

No floral arch needed to obstruct the beautiful river view. Three tiered floral arrangements on either side of the altar provided the perfect frame.
