2020 Outdoor Micro Wedding

Updated: Nov 23, 2020

COVID-19 has changed not only how we live our lives, but if, how and when we host weddings and events and safely celebrate with others. Many couples have decided to reschedule their wedding until pandemic restrictions are lifted, or a vaccine is widely available. Those engaged may hold off on setting a date completely, whereas others are choosing instead to go forward via a "Micro Wedding," "Minimony" or "Sequel Wedding" (theknot.com explains these new trends here).

Amy and Josh are one of the couples who decided to keep their original wedding date. With help from Tan Weddings and Events – who provided planning, coordination and design and also officiated – Amy and Josh exchanged vows on their Big Day via a charming scaled back micro wedding.

With just immediate family and the wedding party, Amy and Josh said their "I Do's" in front of a circular ceremony arch at Pheasant Trek at Dunnigan Hills in Woodland, California. Photographer Ashley Baumgartner captured their intimate outdoor wedding on the ranch, surrounded by orchards, grapevines and a pair of cute donkeys! Cocktail hour featured a vintage mobile bar and the reception was held in an open-air tent.
