"When the green woods laugh with the voice of joy, And the dimpling stream runs laughing by; When the air does laugh with our merry wit, And the green hill laughs with the noise of it."
~ William Blake
A woodland wedding in the forest… what could be more enchanting? Nature lovers, Annalesa and Nick, felt it was the perfect place for them to say "I Do." They tied the knot under the green grandeur of the majestic redwood trees in Saratoga Springs, nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains. Their wedding color palette of white and soft dusty gray, was purposely subtle, as bride Annalesa pointed out, "With all the foliage, all we needed was a clean crisp white to set the tone." The bride's and bridesmaids' bouquets consisted of white blooms (roses, peony, ranunculus) and green fill (seeded and gunni eucalyptus). Charleton Churchill Photography captured the mysterious, fairy tale charm of the day, including the dramatic rays of light sneaking through the tree branches.

The large white blooms of roses, peony and ranunculus created a crisp contrast to the dark forest backdrop, while the texture and soft green of the eucalyptus tied in with the surrounding foliage.
