It was an honor to provide floral design and inspiration for Real Weddings Magazine's layout, Amore al Fresco, featured in their Winter/Spring 2019 issue. The venue, Avio Vineyards & Winery located in Amador County, was the perfect setting for this Italian-inspired wedding photo shoot. Reminiscent of a traditional Tuscan farmstead, the vineyard features a rustic courtyard with a charming fountain and a stunning view of the Northern California foothills. Al fresco dining takes center stage with jewel tones and lush florals interwoven with natural wood details and gold accents, stylized by Jenn Robirds Events, all beautifully captured by Randy Jackson Photography. Is that a ladder hanging above the tables? Why, yes it is!

Overflowing with branches of olive, this humble, rustic ladder reminds of us olive picking in the Tuscan orchards.

Is there anything more romantic than a candlelit dinner? We don't think so, and when encased in glass spheres hung from above they appear to float in mid-air over the tables = MAGIC.

Did you know that we often incorporate candles in our floral design and decor, to match the style and theme of the event and venue? It adds another layer of romance, lighting, and wonder.

How do you direct your guests to a beautiful table setting such as this?

With a custom pizza peel escort card of course!

According to Wikipedia, a peel is a shovel-like tool used by bakers to slide loaves of bread, pizzas, pastries, and other baked goods into and out of an oven. It is usually made of wood, with a flat carrying surface for holding the baked good and a handle extending from one side of that surface.

This unique favor was provided by Swoonable and hand-lettered by @thebloomingscript.

A variety of vases were used for the centerpiece displays. This antique gold vase features blooms of celosia, gomphrena, cafe au lait dahlia, burgundy dahlia, scabiosa, and rose varieties. The greenery provides movement, color and texture. Used here are eucalyptus varieties, geranium, privot greens and berries, rosemary, jasmine, and olive.
